These Sea Lions live on floating crates right beside Pier 39 in the San Francisco Bay. I heard a couple of different stories about why they are there. One story was they fled their nearby island home after a fire and the other story blames a San Francisco earthquake for their change of address. I still don't know why they're there and why they stay, but there they are.
