We passed this tower on our way out of the South rim's East entrance. This spot offered one of the best views from the South rim and included a clear view of the Colorado river, which is rare. The canyon walls are so high and steep that there are not many overlooks where you can see the river. Look for the green line about 1/3 of the way through this video.
